EF’s new Leadership program offers students the opportunity to further understand human rights within local, national and international contexts, so that they return home as active citizens ready to make positive impact in their school and communities. Delivered in partnership with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights—the world’s first museum solely dedicated to the evolution, celebration, and future of human rights—this experience also features facilitated activities by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, Qaumajuq Inuit Art Gallery and the St. Boniface Museum. Students will take part in human rights leadership-focused programming centred around specific themes, such as a one-day Human Rights Leadership Program run by The Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Through these highly immersive and interactive workshops, and visits to other sites of cultural significance in the Winnipeg area, they will equip themselves to become better advocates of social justice, leadership, and truth & reconciliation.
