Language Immersion in Nice
Each day of your Language Immersion Tour is built around a different theme that ties together daily language classes, cultural activities and interactions with locals. Accredited classes at our EF International Language Schools provide students with the cultural context and relevant vocabulary they’ll need to navigate each experiential activity. Through it all, your Language Immersion Tour Director will be with you, supporting your students’ language learning and highlighting each breakthrough moment.
Day 1: Fly overnight to France
- Meet your Tour Director at the airport
- Explore L'Île de la Cité, the geographic center of the city
- Stroll through the Latin Quarter
- Visit the Louvre, home of the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo
Day 3: Paris
- Take an expertly guided tour of Paris: Place de la Concorde; Champs-Élysées; Arc de Triomphe; Les Invalides; Eiffel Tower
- Add an optional cruise around the Seine River
- Enjoy time to explore on your own or add an in-depth excursion to Versailles
- Make your way to Notre Dame Cathedral and admire this spectacular feat of medieval Gothic architecture
Day 4: Nice
- Travel by TGV train to Nice
- Walk to Nice's historic port and explore the colorful harbor area
Day 5: Nice
Daily Theme: French Culture, Past and Present
- Practice your conversational French in a morning language lesson that focuses on French cultural traditions
- Learn how to play the traditional French game pétanque
- Interact with locals as you compete in a city-wide scavenger hunt
Day 6: Nice
Daily Theme: French Culinary Traditions
- Interact with local vendors during a market challenge at Cours Saleya
- Practice food-related vocabulary in an afternoon language lesson
- Prepare your dinner at a cooking class led by a local French chef
Day 7: Nice
Daily Theme: Youth Culture in France
- Practice your conversational French in an afternoon language lesson that focuses on youth culture
- Participate in a cultural exchange activity with locals
Day 8: Nice
Daily Theme: French Art and Artists
- Explore Nice's art scene during an interactive art workship with a local artist
- Master art-related terms while practicing your conversational French in a morning language lesson
- Enjoy a homemade dinner with a local family
Day 9: Monaco / Nice
Daily Theme: French Popular Culture and Cinema
- Learn about France’s popular culture and film traditions in a morning language lesson
- Travel by train to Monaco and take a walking tour of the Old Town
Day 10: Depart for home
